Its ema skye loving hours again and i just want to share some of my headcannons with the world. (I dont even know if these actually make sense but.)

As a British Blackquill enjoyer, Ema and simon europe friendship is so real to me.

Effectively > ema and simon could have met in britain when ema was sent to live in europe after rfta. Assuming Blackquill worked in the space center for like at least a year, that would give a year or two period in which they had the possibility to meet.

The reason i enjoy this hc is bc. Due to the given timeline simon would have gone to jail while ema is still in europe.. which like oh shit wtf my friend is a murderer? Fuck my life choices.

Skip to last part of the 7yg and here is where it mixed with the whole... situation regarding ema and kristoph.

We know that ema apparently didnt know that pheonix was disbarred or had a daughter while she was in Europe, yet, she knew kristoph well enough to do a flawless impression of him?

Confusing. My thoughts here. Which. Are directly stolen from some post i saw saying the same thing. Maybe ema was friends with kristoph as a way of keeping in contact with Pheonix? Perhaps because kristoph was a friend of pheonix, and seems like a nice enough guy. Either way, some sort of interaction/ ema kristoph friendship must have existed there.

Which, in the aftermath of the game, leads to oh fuck. Another guy i was friends with was actually a murderer. Thats the second time thats happened.

Simply things to think about

Then theres also the parallel between blackquill going to jail for Athena and lana going to jail for ema, in both cases the simon/lana believeing that the youger had killed someone, and doing everything in their power to prevent athena and ema respectively from "their lives being ruined".

The fact that both went about this by concealing emotion, and putting up the mask of indifference.

And that neither athena nor ema had actually killed anyone, and that neither of them would have actually wanted simon/lana to go through with it all. That in the end it was finally resolved but left a lasting impact on all parties involved.

Do you think ema would have recognized any of those concealing behaviors in simon? Because of how he was paralleling her sister? Or would she just assume and deal with the fact that she was friends with two murders.

Anyways on a separate note ema and simon friendship is funny bc they could make fun of klavier together.

i just have some thoughts to dump .

i first heard of wednesday a few years ago and "fate is..." was definitely in my top 5 most listened to songs on spotify in 2021 or 22. i didnt know til recent that mj lenderman was a member and didnt know til like yesterday that they might be even better (to me!!!!!).

my first full listen to their live album they put out in later 2023 was yesterday and it changed things for me. embarrassingly enough i only took interest in tyler childers a few months ago. after this neocountry ( i know thats not what its actually called ) awakening within me ive been on a quest to find a good country sounding band that fused with my other genres of interest well. like better than pinegrove well. a honky tonk shoegaze project would be an incredible thing to stumble on, though no im not sure how its going to work with time keeping and all that whatever, no ones proven to make it happen since. but mj is the closest i have ever gotten.

about halfway through the album, i was able to identify something about mjl's familiar vocal... cadence? and place it with neil young. from referencing dylan, john daly, rodeo clowns, michael jordan, tom brady, jack nicholson, jackass, and rust on a grill left in the rain, american citizenship and our often borderline-unbelievable and ever-entertaining popular culture in the digital age help define mjl's sound, especially on this combination of previous releases. from ethel introducing gen z coastals to dale sr. to realtree camo being in casual rotation in an urbanites closet for work or dive hopping, americas "middle" aesthetics are becoming more recognized and thus more commodified. as someone raised in the rural midwest to now residing in the urban midwest, the sudden "trendiness" of articles of clothing or topics of conversation that used to embarrass you if your dad sported either in public, is both affirming and maddening. if you have ever been to a meat raffle, if the deer and fishing openers were treated like holidays in your hometown, or if youve ever resided at a residence within 1 mile of a "trump store", then you know there is a certain valor that comes with it. it wasnt pleasant. it wasnt comfortable. but it was something you did, you survived, and you still probably feel like home there. im getting incredibly off topic and wil probably revisit this concept in a seperate manor........

anyways all that above is to be said because i need you all to know that i do recognize the sin i am committing in this next statement which is to refer mjl's voice with noneother than ontarian neil young. their tenor-ish ranges, along with each of their tendencies to undermix in favor of a raw, though mjl isnt pushing any major life lessons or reflecting on their 20s in any of this album (yet).

knockin, the second track, is where i officially got hooked. i love bob dylan. i love obscure interpolations used within songs. but the only other artist to reference a lyric as common as "knocking on heavens door" that comes to mind IMMEDIATELY is lana, and mjl did it complete justice. on similar note, rudolph was able to become a highlight for me for, once again, a dylan interpolation.

screaming "you are very girl to me!" doesnt have the same affect as passively referring to a love gone as simply "a sunday", but mjl's lyrics immediately reminded me of a few childers lyrics. i cant help but think these asheville guys are childers fans due to the addition of the cover of 'long black veil'. yeah sure its a classic country!, but mjl's lyricism suggests to me that this is more of a reference to a reference, of course referring to "jersey giant" (ORIGINALLY BY TYLER CHILDERS).

dunno how to wrap these. i was just so so impressed with this album and happy i finally bit the bullet and took the internets suggestion to give them a chance.

8.5/10, id like to listen to their discog and hear the studio versions of each song as well.

Unpopular opinion: im so done with game of thrones tbh. It's not even good anymore :/ I liked the first season but since then i've skipped through episodes because they are just sooo fucking boring and dragged out!

see like the first three seasons were pretty good because they stayed true to the books. (actually that’s a lie, littlefinger’s chaos speech in the s3 finale was real fuckin bad because guess what: it was original material LMAO) the fourth season was where it started to get messy and then the fifth season was a fucking shitshow because they completely IGNORED the fourth book and cherrypicked all the “good” parts out of it (read: the most action-y parts, while ignoring all the most important pieces of character development) and they botched the dorne storyline, oh and who could forget the iconic moment of throwing in a rape (THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN IN THE BOOKS) just for fun :) love it! but anyway if you think the show is boring i probably wouldn’t recommend the books, they’re even slower getting through them lmao. but it’s worth it in my opinion. there’s so much they don’t include in the show and it makes me Angery

ooooh ok. usually there are shops like those in cities or even in towns with like kitschy little promenades with independent shops. (i know there’s one around the town over from mine, which is so random lmao) i do have friends that have crystals but i think they mostly just collect them for the ~good vibez~ and don’t really look too far into the healing aspects of them. i would say first go with the one that coincides with your birth because those are the ones that are like specifically catered to you and strengthen your being. as for buying online, hmmmmm i mean i don’t really know any specific trustworthy sellers because i don’t have much experience with this, but definitely read the reviews! those will help you a lot <3

i honestly didn’t do much of anything that differs from my usual editing process! i made her eyes a bit bigger by using the clone tool, cloning the top of her eye and applying it a little bit farther up...if that makes sense. it’s hard to explain how to use that tool lmao. and i think i used the liquify tool to bring part of her eyebrow down to look more worried.

Ok so before Ryan Murphy completely takes this season in a whole new direction tonight and it turns out this is part of the Roanoke tv company or this was all some kind of flashback story Ramirez is recounting on devil’s night at the hotel here are my thoughts. this all my own thoughts and feelings yada yada yada. This is all going under the assumption that there is no big gotcha shamayama twist.

The deaths go with how you act/who you are. Ray was constantly trying to save himself, or saving his own neck so... boy got decapitated. While part of me doesn’t like that the first death of the main cast was the black guy he was so f-ing unlikeable by the end that I was rooting for his death. Honestly I kinda expected a metal wire like wrong turn 4.

Birdie oh birdie she deserved so much better. She befriended everyone and was trying to look out for everyone. Tried to talk down jingles tried to protect Xavier even crawling to free him when she was in agony. She had too much heart so she died by someone she saved mercy stabbing her in the heart. That actually hurt to watch.

Xavier, wow I knew Cody would be a fave cause he’s fucking Cody but Xavier needs to be the final girl (you know what i mean) so much more character and depth than Brooke. Chet, ok can we agree muscle man is dead? I know the preview saw him up and about like he’s fine and dandy but that has to be a ghost and his corpse is back on the infirmary bed. cause no one closed his wounds and the adrenaline shot cause his heart to keep pumping. The heart pumps blood, Chet has a giant wound spraying blood therefore that boy dead. But yeah he stabbed himself with steroid needles and then got stabbed with a giant spike. Also quick google search says squirting blood, and pulsating flow means an artery was hit. I’m not a doctor but white boy dead.

I hate that all the real bad guys are women. I get it’s probably a nod to Mrs voorhees but she had a damn good reason and in Montana I can say this fits but between Margaret and nurse Rita (I know it’s Donna but I never disliked a Donna before so I’m sticking with Rita) it’s like ok so is Brooke going to be the seasons true big bad cause it’s seems all the bad guys are women manipulating men into doing evil.

I feel so bad for mr. Jingles I knew he was gonna have a sympathetic backstory like that clown and I was right. Now that it’s established Margaret is the killer I gotta say any scenes with gloved killings but no face shots is probably not mr jingles. Which means when he told Xavier I didn’t do it I think he meant it. I think Margaret came out Xavier in the oven attacked birdie which broke her heart more maybe even killed ray but I doubt that last one I’d have to watch that epi again.i do think once he wraps his head around the fact that he’s not the killer maybe he’ll go on to protect the others from Margaret and Rita.

I am not okay with using a real life rapist pedophile and murderer like Ramirez and making him sexy and supernatural. He’s dead but the victims families are still alive. They don’t need to see a circle jerk over him. Zach Villa is awesome I just wish they coulda made up a killer.

Are any kids actually showing up? I would think no parent would actually send any kids there. Also if jingles didn’t get freed was margaret going to kill all the kids that broke any of the rules? again im finding it hard to believe anyone would send their kids there. i know the internet wasnt around but ramierz knew who jingels was and rita knew him and the camp as well. maybe xavier was the only one to never do his homework. but then again white rita didnt know about the camp either, just idk im going in circles with this one.

I have no idea where the story is going I guessed Montana’s brother being the best man but couldn’t figure out how Brooke didn’t know her/recognize her. So I’m glad they explained that. Sarah Paulson is supposedly coming back so I’d guess it’s as Lana and maybe she’s doing a report on the murders at the very last scene of the season.yes i know reports said she wasnt gonna be in it but reports also said there would be no supernatural stuff this season just horror and Satan bringing back Ramirez and a ghost hippie has made that statement false. this ended up way longer than i intended but since tonight will probably change everything we’ll see if any of my thoughts pan out.
